🎄✨ Spread some holiday cheer! The Burke School is hosting a Christmas Toy Drive now through December 3rd! 🎅🏼 We’re accepting gently used or new toys for ALL ages. 🧸🚂

State FFA Officers Maya Howard and Hailey Kizer visited our Ag classes today in Burke 🌾👩‍🌾. They talked about FFA, leadership, and communication 🗣️✨, and they got students from each class involved in some fun activities 🎉👩‍🎓. Thanks for coming to Burke! 🙌💙

📚🏐 Learning in Action! 🎉✨ Today, our 6th graders hit the court to challenge the 7th and 8th-grade PE class in a game of dodgeball—but with a twist! 🧮 While they dodged, ducked, and threw, they also worked on their math skills, studying ratios in action.📏

Herrick American Legion Auxiliary celebrated American Education Week by presenting the elementary school with 40 stocking caps/headbands, 24 gloves/mittens, 20 colored pencils, 80 pencils, and 30 ink pens. This fulfills the National American Legion Auxiliary “Give 10 to Education” program. Presenting the items were Diane Klein, Nancy Sieh, Kie Rolf, and Myrna Freeman.

Burke Art 2 students created portraits for a nonprofit organization called The Memory Project. Their mission is to connect youth around the world through art to help build cultural understanding and international kindness. The Memory Project gets its name from its first intention, which is to provide handmade, heartfelt portraits as special memories to children in orphanages. They are using art to reach a distant destination: a kinder world in which all youth see themselves in one another regardless of differences in their appearance, culture, religion, or circumstances. The portraits made here in Burke will be sent to children in India.

⭐️Gregory County FFA Shines at Districts! ⭐️ Congratulations to our amazing Gregory County FFA chapter for their outstanding performance at the recent district competition! Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork paid off as they brought home several top honors, proving once again that our FFA members are among the best.
