The Herrick Legion Auxiliary continued its tradition of community support this week with a generous donation to Burke Elementary School. Members Kie Rolf, Nancy Sieh, and Joann Birkel visited Principal Mrs. Mary Hosford to present a variety of school supplies as part of the National American Legion Auxiliary’s “Give 10 to Education” initiative.
The donation included caps, scarves, mittens and gloves, socks, pencils and pens, markers, crayons, folders, notebooks, and binders all items that help ensure students have what they need to learn comfortably and successfully.
The Burke School District extends its gratitude to the Herrick Legion Auxiliary for their ongoing commitment to local students and their education.
