Another great book club at Cougar Friday. Lots of pages were read and fun drinks had. Stay tuned for our next meeting!

Today's Friday activity got the kids a little sticky and covered in peanut butter, but we made our furry friends a nice treat to snack on this spring. Thank you to our 5th grade girls that helped our littles make their bird feeders.

A couple of our BRING CHANGE 2 MIND leaders spent the day at the SD Peer Leadership Conference- Mind Over Media! 🎉 It was a fantastic day of learning about social media safety, the Helpline Center, Emily’s Hope, DOH Tobacco, and so much more. A huge shout-out to keynote speaker Brandon Saho for sharing his powerful message and his podcast, The Mental Game. 🎙💙 I am so proud of these young leaders whose commitment to mental health and leadership continues to inspire and make a real impact in our school and community!!!

🎓👏 Congratulations to our 5th graders on their D.A.R.E. Graduation! 👏🎓 We are so proud of the hard work, commitment, and responsibility these students have shown throughout the D.A.R.E. program. They’ve learned valuable lessons about making safe and healthy choices, showing respect, and standing strong in the face of peer pressure. A big thank you to our D.A.R.E. officer for guiding and supporting our students every step of the way. Your impact truly makes a difference! Hudson Hood's essay was chosen as the winner and he got to take Darren home!

Snacks provided, The Happy Mug will be open serving dirty sodas and flavored lemonades for $4.

4 of our 🏀players participated in the East/West All star game in Gregory. It was fun seeing them play one last time

Day 3 was another exciting adventure! 🎶🌆✨ Our music students spent the day exploring the Museum of Science and Industry 🔬, visiting Navy Pier 🎡, and stopping at the Family Pavilion to experience Flyover Chicago 🌬️🏙️ The fun continued with a Wendella River Cruise 🚤 and ended with a dinner and show 🍽️🎭✨ It was another big day filled with unforgettable sights, fun experiences, and great memories for our music students! 🎵❤️

Day 2 was full of adventure! 🎶🌆✨ Our music students packed in a full day of fun in Chicago! They explored the Field Museum 🦖, visited Millennium Park to see “The Bean” 🪞, enjoyed a gangster tour 🔍🏙️, took in the amazing views from Skydeck at Willis Tower 🌇🙌, and wrapped up the day with some delicious Giordano’s pizza 🍕❤️ It was a busy day full of memories, laughs, and lots of sightseeing! 🎉🎵

Day 1 is in the books! 🎶🚌✨ Our music students had a great first day of traveling and made it safely to the hotel! 🏨🎉 A HUGE shoutout to Mr. Lindholm for being the world’s best bus driver, especially at 4:00 in the morning! 🌅👏🚌 And thank you to Mrs. Gretchen for helping keep our kiddos fueled up and ready to roll! 🍩🥤💛 The trip is off to a great start! Be looking for some more exciting pictures to come! 🎵😄

Our 5th graders loved having Miss Adisyn Indahl, a proud alumni, in our classroom for a couple of weeks last quarter. It was such a great experience having her observe and be part of our learning. We wish her the best! 🍎👩🏼‍🏫

Our 1st Book Club was a success. 16 readers, lots of pages read, snacks consumed and books finished! Our next book club will meet on March 27th!

The End-of-the-Quarter Volleyball Bash was a success! 🏐 Congratulations to the Night Crawlers for taking home the overall victory! It was a fun night filled with great volleyball, teamwork, and lots of laughs. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make it such a great event!
