🎶 Proud Moment for Our Musicians! 🎶
These students were nominated and selected to represent our school district at the Region V Festival of Music. On November 25th, they spent the day in Gregory rehearsing and ended the evening with a wonderful concert.
They worked hard, made memories, and had some fun along the way.
Job well done, students! 💙👏

🤧Thank you, Burke Senior Center, for your generous donation of Kleenex. We truly appreciate your support!🤧

We had a wonderful day of friends and music on Nov. 18 in Platte at the Region V Festival of Music! These students were nominated and selected to represent Burke Music, and their early-morning start and full day of rehearsals led to a truly memorable concert. They even came in during Cougar Days and after school to prepare.
We also want to recognize one more dedicated student, Ryker Peck, who put in all the hard work but was unable to attend due to illness.
We couldn’t be more proud of our young musicians!

Congratulations Jayder Schonebaum!!!
Today, Jayder officially signed with Dakota Wesleyan University on a baseball scholarship! We are incredibly proud of his hard work, dedication, and the example he sets for our younger athletes.
Congratulations, Jayder! Your Cougar family is cheering you on as you take this exciting next step! 🐾⚾💙

🔥 “Order in the Court!” 🔥
Our sophomores wrapped up their reading of Lord of the Flies with an unforgettable Mock Trial experience! After a week of intense preparation — crafting witness statements, conducting interviews, and building their opening and closing arguments — students stepped into the roles of attorneys, witnesses, and jurors to answer one big question:
⚖️ Is Jack Merridew guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter or 1st Degree Murder in the deaths of Piggy and Simon?
The courtroom was charged with energy as students presented their evidence, challenged testimonies, and debated the meaning of justice on the island. A powerful way to bring literature — and moral questions — to life! 🌴📚💥
