This Friday, our 5th-grade students graduated from the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program! D.A.R.E. is a national program that teaches students important life skills, including decision-making, responsibility, and how to resist peer pressure when it comes to drugs and alcohol.
A huge thank you to Officer Green for leading this program and bringing such valuable lessons to our students in Gregory County! We appreciate your dedication to keeping our kids informed and empowered!

Mr. Murray's Engineering kids competed in a Wind Energy Competition in Winner today. Mr. Murray's words, "We had a fun day, I think kids liked it, Oh, and we WON!" Congrats to Mr. Murray and students!
Our Teens As Teachers stepped up and took charge, teaching valuable lessons on the Six Pillars of Character and leading an in-depth exploration of caring to the 3rd and 4th grade classes. ❤️ Through engaging discussions and activities, they helped students understand the power of empathy, kindness, and what it takes to have good character.

Last week the 5th graders took their field trip to Sioux Falls. We first visited KELOLAND and got a behind the scenes look at the station. We then made our way to the symphony where we heard amazing music and learned about all the instruments.
Our last stop, we stopped for ice cream on the way home !

🎉 Congratulations to the Gregory County FFA chapter and officer team for receiving the National Chapter Award once again this year! 🙌 The officers worked tirelessly to complete the application, and their hard work has paid off. This marks the second year the chapter has received the National Chapter Award, and the officer team deserves a huge round of applause for knocking it out of the park! 🏆
The chapter will be recognized at the State Convention on Saturday, April 5th, where the final placement will be revealed. Stay tuned for more updates! 👏👏
