We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. School will be back in session tomorrow with our first day of 2025. Here are a couple announcements.
1. Elementary Parents please make sure your students have coats, hats, gloves, boots and snow pants (as needed) for recess. Student go outside if temps are above zero.
2. Report cards will be mailed home on Monday, January 6th.
3. Thursday January 9th Double header basketball games Thursday in Burke with AC/DC. Start time is 4:00
4. Friday, January 10th Double header basketball games in Burke with Centerville. Start time is 4:00
5. Saturday, January 11th MS Boys basketball at Dakota Christan and B/G Storm wrestling at Miller

They will perform from 12:00-1:00 in the rotunda!

1. Congratulations to the MS girls basketball A Team for placing 2nd at the Colome tournament on Saturday and to the B team for placing 4th at the Avon tournament!
2. Tomorrow’s Holiday Dress Up theme is ‘Christmas Vacation’! Wear a Hawaiian shirt or a favorite vacation shirt!
3. Tuesday, December 10th the B/G Storm MS wrestlers will be going to Pierre.
4. Wednesday, December 11th the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet at 7:40am in Mr. Serr’s room. Contact Chelsa Jons (830-0157) with any questions.
5. There will be a MS boys basketball meeting on Wednesday, December 11th during study hall. If you are planning on participating this season please be there.
6. Thursday, December 12th will be the 8th grade ELA Food Truck Show at the Civic Center from 10:30 – 12:20. The theme is based on ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
7. Thursday, December 12th the MS girls basketball team will play the Colome Lady Cowgirls at the Civic Center.
8. Thursday, December 12th the HS B/G Storm wrestling team will be at Winner for a triangular with Winner and Wagner. Wrestling starts at 5:30pm.
9. Friday, December 13th is a Cougar Friday.
10. There is another water bottle and a pair of sunglasses turned in to the lost and found in the office.
11. Attention seniors the 2025-26 FAFSA is available! If you have any questions reach out to Mrs. Harnack
12. Girl’s basketball team is looking for a bookkeeper for the season. Anyone interested please get a hold of coach Green or coach Harnack.
13. Haley needs to turn in her pom poms ASAP.
14. There is a sign up sheet in the office for students that would like to help with the Weekly Announcements on the school’s Facebook page.
15. The Christmas Hallway Decorating Contest has started! Everything needs to be decorated by Friday, December 13th. The winner in each building will be getting a pizza party. Check with Mrs. Harnack on what space your class has to decorate.
16. Attention Seniors! The yearbook needs some photos from you. Please send a Senior photo, baby picture and a kid picture to Mrs. Witt’s email or bring in the printed photo and she will scan it. Please check your email and fill out the Senior questions sent to you by Kaleb Schonebaum. Also, keep in mind that the school will need a wallet sized photo for the composite board to hang in the hallway.
17. Attention AAU Wrestlers – the first practice will be on Thursday, January 9th. If interested in wrestling, please contact Justin Hood at 605-999-9206 for more information and/or to sign up your wrestler prior to the upcoming season. Feel free to call or text.
